Occasional experiments in making machines explain themselves, spanning two decades and several paradigm shifts.
Welcome to my Fixes/Solutions Database of issues I've come across in my day to day work. I started this project sometime around 2003 and had years of material to put up here. Most of it never made it. What did survive ranges from Oracle registry archaeology to staring down the distributional biases of three commercial AI systems in a single morning.
The through-line, if there is one: the interesting problems are always at the seam between what the system thinks it's doing and what it's actually doing.
